One of the most eye-catching flowers is celebrated at the Sunflower Festival during peak blooming season. Bursting with bright and cheery yellow flowers, the sunflower trail welcomes visitors to stroll through the field (which makes for a great photo op!). Also, be sure to catch some live local music and tasty treats before you go.

There’s no shortage of delicious food here in Louisiana, which is why we have so many festivals dedicated to feeding your belly and your soul. While it may be hard to choose just one, the Cochon de Lait Festival is the place to find a cuisine truly unique to Louisiana. Bring a big appetite for the pig roast, but rest assured—there’s plenty more to see, do, and eat!
